The screen is 7 inches at 300 ppi, with a front light you can shift from white through to amber. In bright sun it stays readable because it is not a backlit panel; in the dark you can warm it down so it is not the last bright thing you look at. Battery is the part that changes how you use it. A single charge is quoted at up to twelve weeks at half an hour of reading a day, and a full charge takes about two and a half hours on a 9 W USB-C adaptor. In practice you stop thinking about charging it, which is not something you can say about a tablet.
It is rated IPX8 — tested for immersion in 2 metres of fresh water for 60 minutes — so the bath and the poolside are genuinely fine. It weighs 211 grams and is 7.8 mm thick, holds 16 GB of books, and connects over 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi.
